A few tips that could have made the burrito easier. For the taquitos, some places use a cornstarch or flour mix to act like glue and seal them shut (small toothpicks also help). For the burrito, bigger tortilla. Most large Mexican stores (especially if they make tortillas fresh) usually have these very large tortillas. You used what looks to be a standard size. If bigger can't be found, overlap 2 or 3 tortillas. I've done that just for a regular big burrito when I only had small ones. Might still be a little tricky, but easier then how you handled it. Ps: love the marinated carne and chicken (carne more) from the Mexican butchers.
